Which Swiss providers does AI recommend?

The Swiss AI Recommendation Index measures monthly which companies ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, AI Overviews and Perplexity name as an option in answer to real buyer questions. We build and publish it ourselves, free of charge and without registration.

What the index measures

Being mentioned and being recommended are two different things. The index separates them.

  • Cited

The AI assistant knows your company and uses it as a source. A necessary precondition, but not yet an outcome.

  • Recommended

The AI assistant names your company as an option the buyer should choose. That is the goal, and it is exactly what the index measures.

The finding: almost nobody gets recommended

In the August 2026 edition, 1,087 of 1,155 measured fiduciary firms in Zurich receive no recommendation at all on the general enquiry. Among IT service providers in Switzerland it is 18,441 of 18,532 in the AI integration view.

Recommendations therefore concentrate on very few names. A company that is not among them simply does not appear in the shortlist, regardless of how good it is.

The chapters at a glance

Currently measured: fiduciary services in Zurich and IT service providers across Switzerland. Further regions and industries follow.

  • Fiduciary services, Zurich

Six views: general enquiry, payroll accounting, succession planning, incorporation and young companies, financial accounting, tax advice.

  • IT service providers, Switzerland

Two views: AI integration and Microsoft partner. Further services follow once the data base is large enough.

Each view has its own ranking. The full rankings are in the index.

How the measurement works

One measurement wave per month, always following the same procedure.

  1. Step 1

    Question portfolio

192 buyer questions, phrased the way a real enquiry is phrased: direct recommendation requests, keyword searches and questions about individual services. The portfolio is versioned so editions stay comparable.

  2. Step 2

    Default answer

What is measured is the default answer: no history, no personalisation, from a Swiss context, first response. That is what a new prospect actually sees.

  3. Step 3

    Classification and review

Every mention is classified as cited or recommended and checked against a manually reviewed gold standard: 106 rows, 91.5 percent agreement. Views below the minimum data base are not published at all.

Why the index is independent

The index is a measuring instrument, not a directory you can get yourself listed in. Three rules keep it clean:

  • Only reality changes the values. Not payments to us, not correction requests, not client relationships. A company rises when the AI assistants recommend it more often.
  • Clients get no preference. Companies from our ongoing engagements are measured exactly like everyone else and receive no special treatment in the ranking.
  • Thin data is not published. A view appears only once enough logged answers exist. Below that it stays invisible, rather than implying a ranking that is not one.

The procedure behind it is the same one we apply in an engagement: the same questions over weeks, queries run without login and without conversation history, several repetitions per question. Why those conditions are necessary is set out in full in how AI visibility is measured reliably.

If you want an assessment of your own company rather than the market overview, the free AI visibility analysis delivers one by email, usually within 15 to 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Book a call
What does access to the index cost?

Nothing. The index is freely accessible, without registration. Every company profile shows how the measured AI assistants answer typical buyer questions, with a logged citation and date.

Can a company buy its way into the index?

No. Only reality changes the values. Not payments to us, not correction requests, not client relationships. A company rises in the index when the AI assistants recommend it more often, and for no other reason.

Which AI assistants are measured?

ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, AI Overviews and Perplexity. Further systems are added once a default answer can be collected from them reliably.

How often does a new edition appear?

Monthly. The current edition is August 2026; the next appears in early September 2026.

My company is missing or recorded incorrectly. What now?

The index works with publicly available company data. The company search on index.carigiet.com finds your profile and describes the route for a correction request. A correction changes the master data, not the measured values.

How does the index relate to the free AI visibility analysis?

The index measures an entire market from above, monthly and visible to everyone. The free analysis measures a single company in depth and sends you the report by email. Both are free and without obligation.

In which languages is the index available?

The index itself is published in German. This page summarises it in English as well.

In the index, but not in the recommendations?

In a 15-minute call we look at which buyer questions your company is missing from, who is named instead, and whether GEO adds up for you. No obligation.
